Been listening to the Willows for a week or so, this morning heard and saw the beautiful melodious Blackcap.
There was something on radio four about warblers yesterday.
That they are migrating generally more northwards than usual because of climate change.
I missed that program demographic, I didn't hear it advertised either or I would have been listening to it. Hopefully the rise in temperature will mean that a few more might overwinter.
It was on between about seven and twenty past IIRC, cos I get in the van at seven and the radio reception goes dodgy at about 20 past just after I pass Penrith
It did mentiuon something about some more overwintering (can't remember exactly what sub species though) on the programme.
