Hello. I am going to get rid of my 2 aluminum dishes and replace with stainless ones. They are 20cm across and 3 cm deep. I would like a similar size. I looked on ebay and there is not a big selection and its hard to gauge any quality. So I am going to ask the audience. Any ideas or anyone got any for sale?.Cheers peeps and happy winter solstice in a few hours. d x
ps has anyone experience with metal ware by a company called highlander? Any good?

Highlander Outdoor are well known and do a decent range of basic to mid level kit and military gear.

I've been looking for much the same thing. WoodtoWater do the 20cm size one. I've got some stainless steel bowls that size cheaply from an Asian shop. They are a bit deeper so hold wetter meals better, but there's no rim to hold them by, so you try to hold them with a cloth underneath to prevent burning yourself.

Try Indian grocery stores as well. That is where I have seen similar down under
They're a great place to buy bigger pots and pans for say, wax melting, jam making etc, (and pressure cookers) but I've never seen what we call plates, with a flatish' rim, only bowls. I've been keeping an eye out for them, probably do exist, but I think that's where the china plates come into use.

Look for Summit stainless steel camp stuff

Cheap but very effective. I bake bread buns in their 14cm bowls and use little else when I’m camping. They do small and large flat plates.

I get a lot of my stainless steel cookware from charity shops - all steel frying pan, egg poacher/pan and some great pots. .I like all steel plates, bowls, pans and utensils. No plastic or wooden handles etc. I pay £4 each on average for the bigger heavy weight items.

Edited to add:
The link is for 14cm bowl. Not big. As folk have said, SS dog bowls make great tableware if you need bigger. I’ve used both the little dish and the bigger plate as frying pans. I presume that you have a pot grippers or two about the place.

2 x summit 14cm bowls
1 x 20mm dog bowl
1 x 16cm Zebra pot Inc. tray.
1 x 500ml Kelly Kettle mug

I don’t need any more than this and can get away with less.

These are 20cm diameter, though I'm not sure of the depth. Looks about right though.
