Wanted soil sieve

Hi all,

has anyone got a spare or unused soil sieve, moved in to new house not long ago busy trying to tidy up the garden lots of rubble and stone in the soil.

Having said that for sifting rubble I would be more inclined to go for a decent section of 2" weldmesh set at an angle, throw soil against it and soil will go through and rubble bounce off.

similar sized to the ones in the photographs, I brought a plastic one from a garden shop for about £7
It lasted really well, and i still use it for sifting thorough ash left in fires (removal of non combustables etc)
but they are only really any good if the soil is bone dry and really well worked (to very small clumps) otherwise you end up throwing away as much soil as rubble!
If you look at my avatar you can see a shute made from scrap wood and Wire mesh i use to grade charcoal....if you could make one like this (in a similar way to Robins idea) the soil falls through and the rubble runs down the chute....into a waiting bag (the larger/usable charcoal gets bagged this way while the fines fall through for collection later)

I hate to tell you this but 4 years on and i'm now digging up just as many stones now as i did before the sifting (and i rotovated at least 8" deep) so the good old worms must be mixing the soil well in the garden brining more Cr*p to the surface
