Want to know how to start a fire with ice and tinfoil?

Can't imagine that there's much hope with the focussing power of the one in the picture, too much scatter.

Bit of a nuisance if you have to boil the water first.

You're better off trying a bottle of water. Oddly enough I've never succeeded with a bottle of water even though accidental fires the world over attest to it's effectiveness

Yes, it works. I've done it. In the real world it's more of a parlour trick to impress people. I still like Mors Kochanski personalities with Moras and lots of wooden matches :chill:

Using a polished coke can base works well (in the summer) as a parabolic type reflector to light char cloth.
