Visiting the Isle of Man

This will be mid August.

Im staying in Peel and this is a museum work stay, but I will have a lot of time to do other stuff.

any Advice?

Catch a ferry off? I used to be a regular visitor and lived there for a while although it was 12 years ago. Theres not a lot of wilderness there barring around the mountain although the 'chasms' is a nice place to have a picnic. There used to be a nice view over Douglas harbour from the south. I never really enjoyed the place so my opinions aren't too objective.

Ive been to the Chasms. (For the uninitiated, a highlight of Manx attractions, an area of cliff with a load of great cracks init.)
