video editing

anyone recommend a easy to use video editing program, I want to join some clips together

What format of files? You can import sometypes into Windows movie maker and join them up.

Just thought I'd bump this thread (another one of my reviving old threads posts) to see if there were any other suggestions out there.

Maybe different formats for different apps/programs. Or Free versus paid for.

Thoughts?

I use adobe premiere at work. It is an old version as we really don't do video editing much, but for simple cut / paste and some easy to use simple effects it's alright. You do have to pay for it though...

For free stuff I use Lightworks. Has a good amount of functionality.
