Nice! Looks like good practice for if you ever want to hollow out the seat of a chair.

What sort of willow is it? It looks a bit darker than anything that I have made in willow.

Pussy Willow heartwood from a long pollarded tree, i have the pollard crown sitting outside waiting for me to get fit again so i can slab it up, should be some amazing grain in that when i eventually get round to it.

Same tree Janne, two names.

Salix caprea (goat), but also called Pussy willow.
