Unlikely all rounder coat?

Hello,

Can anyone help? I'm hoping to be a bit of a skinflint and buy a jacket which will I can use for both shooting (game/rough), and for winter mountaineering (course in the Cairngorms in Feb)... or is that a little optimistic?

I thought the Paramo Halcon jacket might work quite well for both. Is there anyone who's as stingy as me and has found the perfect all rounder?
