Two man crosscut saw..

I finally took it off the nail and spent a few hours getting it ready for action.

It needs a little more work on the rakers and I need to sand down the surface rust but lots of good steel left in to cut wood.

I have many happy memories of being on one end of one of those with my father when I was a lad many years ago! He was a telephone engineer and used to get old telegraph poles dropped off at the house and we cut them up for logs and kindling. Used to burn well as they were tarred for preservation!

As they said, the logs would warm you twice, once when you cut them and again when you burned them.
