I got this two from the coater today.


The black one is in RWL 3 mm thick.






The Camo knife is in 4 mm O1

They look good, nice work. Whats the handle on the camo one made of? Interesting too having the blade and handle matching

Ah interesting, I've never seen knives with that kind of coating before, certainly unusual! Surely the bevels will become immediately shinied after the first sharpening? And would they fade with use?

Yes the decondary edge, will be shiny when sarpened. But the rest will hold up good, you will see that it is used. but the coating will stay.
I tested it on my chopper, and it worked fine. i batoned it thru a birch branch, and it realy screamed, when i hit it. And the coating disapered, just on a small, small spot. I was realy realy hard on the coating.
