S'lovely. There were some spoons found on the Mary Rose which also sported the octagonal handles but which had a more ovoid bowl, mimicking the shapes of shells which seem to be the main influence for spoon bowls historically.

It's a lovely simple design and very nicely made.

Welsh Cawl spoons - here are the ones I have carved ...wonder if I could get the same money.....?

Kepis, if you look at the second row down, far left spoon looks like a hexagonal handle.

the one in the bottom pic at the bottom of the picture is definately a hexagonal handle
