Looking for a little advice here, I learned the technique of tsukamaki (japwrap) a while back now, practiced mainly with ribbon and flat shoe laces to get it down, but does anyone know of any reputable suppliers of Ito wrapping material? I'm reluctant to use fleabay far east suppliers (the irony isn't wasted on me) because I don't want it to fray under use.

Oriental World in Manchester may possibly have some.

Liam

Thanks for that Liam I'll give them a ring tomorrow. Hard to find suppliers of trad blade making gear, micarta and carbon fiber is everywhere, but seemingly not silk or fine leather! Enjoying making the knife so far though it's a mixture of old world japanese styling with newer tactical features. Love a challenge me!
