The Leaves and Flowers
The Bark
This is the Sweet Chestnut Castanea sativa
Of course famous for its nuts that may be eaten raw or cooked or ground to a flour.
The wood is used young for some woodworking but is a poor wood for uses other than fencing or decorative uses.
The leaves can be crushed to extract a soapy material (although the Horse Chestnut is superior)
An infusion of the leaves makes a good cough remedy

could be a japanese cherry.
Bung up some piccs ganstey and I'll give it a go!
You really want Fenlander or Jon Pickett for the clever stuff though!
