I've just read a small article in my local paper that say's the tree disease Phytophthora pluvialis is getting nearer to the forest of dean, anyone had / saw the effects of this?.

Not in person. I’ve seen guidance images and apparently it’s around my area already. It shows it’s self as a sort of black legion coming out of damage on the trees. (Douglas for and western hemlock) being most effected. I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t already in the Dean without being spotted yet.
