Whilst out in the woods I picked up sign of deer and followed it until I saw this deer.

what other types of sign did you pick up on - could you tell the size, type an sex etc before you saw him?

Did the exact same thing today and saw a few Roe deer, was pouring with rain and they didn't hear us coming til we were quite close, wish I had the camera with me too!
