out of curiousity what fossil is it?

I'm the exact opposite, I find geometric paters and stiching to be theraputic due to it's repetitiveness, Different strokes for different folks I suppose;)

I did a skull design ages ago for a freind that was white cova colour with a black wash of dye over the whole thing, I'll see if I can find it.

So the white is a coating?

The white was Tandy's Cova Colour white leather paint followed by a few coats black dye over the whoel lot (painted and unpainted parts), giving the white bits a bit of a rub with a soft wet cloth between coats to get most of the black dye off them. To be honest, it was all a bit accedental but I think it came out looking well kind of stone like, can be seen better on the rest of the belt here:http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113436
