Toffee Tinderbox

I made the strike-a-lite a while ago but after read a certain other bushcraft magazine I thought that I needed a tinder box.

So enter the toffee tin! But with the addition of a credit card Fresnel lens for when I am lazy and the sun is out

And it is small enough and flat enough to shove in your trousers pocket or in the map pocket of your shell.

Looks great. Just how effective are these credit card magnifiers at making fire?

Thanks Pignut and Fred the answer is very! The char cloth is usually burning before I get it focused and I was burning marks in my wooden gate the other weekend with one. But I must admit that my large Fresnel (the same one as Neanderthal put in the gallery) is like a laser in comparison

Never seen the credit card size ones in action but the biger ones really work and fast!
