Todays buys

[Hugo]

Today's boot market buys were all from the same stall.
Not a bad haul for £3.00. The sharpening stone will come in handy for my grab bag.
The mallet is well wanted as I have recently broken Two that I made.
The spare new handle will go on a hammer that I got last week.
The large axe has a damaged handle so I'll make a new one for it.
The little axe will also get a new handle and will be cleaned up.
what did you get from a boot market this weekend.

Was going to go to the one by the fly over tomorrow, but forgot it's airshow weekend, so i'll prob give it a miss

I went to the fly over one today and came away without any goodies.
Then went Steyning for a walk over the hill.
I'm going to Shoreham fly over next week, if your going we can meet up for a coffee and a chat.

I was on the look out for a decent axe or some handles but came away with a reasonable 11' carp rod and a very nice wee reel for £15 - not too shabby.

As the picture shows I have cleaned up the small axe and given it the new handle in the above picture.
I came up very sharp with a bevel edge. Tomahawk style.
The large axe head has lost it's haft and is awaiting another, might be some time as I have no wood left.
