This is the front lawn of work right now:

Christmas party tomorrow night for 350 people.

Supposedly the first corporate event under Tipis but you never know.

They're from Tentipi and must cost a bomb as they're massive!! Obviously we've only hired them. Very clever on the set-up with raising the sides to link them.

oh, the poles that come out the top are fake - I saw the bloke screwing them in place on Monday! :D

Very nice! I set up MASSIVE marquees to make ends meet for a bit when travelling in Australia but I never saw anything as impressive as that.

That looks like an excellent set up for a Christmas bash.

But what kind of business, are you in, that would think of using Tentipis, and splashes out like that during a recession?

[Which one is the drunken nookie tent?]

I work at a hotel / conference centre. :)

The company who this is for are a building company. Last year they didn't have a big do but the previous year it was for 800+ and the same the year before. This one is small in comparison.

It's full of tables now. One of my colleagues took some pics when empty but it doesn't show much - lots of poles! :D

They started set-up on Saturday and finished all the canvas on Monday. No idea how many guys working on that part though.

Some friends of mine had one of these among a collection of tents for their wedding reception, which was held on a local farm. The tipi was the only heated tent, and got very popular later on in the evening as the temperature cooled. It was all set up as a music festival, with a stage, PA and 3 live bands.

Excellent idea for an outside do, as they are huge, and much warmer than a marquee once the air gets chilly :D Apparently a lot of the hardcore slept overnight in the tipi, although I would say that a fair few could have easily slept on a ploughed field or a fence post ;)

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the Bushcraft community but just wondered? I saw in earlier comments that people are looking to buy woods and land well, me to. I live in the lake district and only hear of woods etc just after they're sold so if anyone knows of any or possibly wants to team up I'm wanting to put up tipis and yurts and try to make a little money while helping the environment re planting trees and encouraging wild life. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
