Tiny Dutch Oven

I was teaching in Japan in December and one of my students had a tiny Dutch oven that we used to make pate.

Does anyone know a supplier of really small Dutch oven?

Was it a dutch oven, or a potjie? I have a size 1/4 potjie that I can use for a one person meal (it holds just over a pint of liquid and is maybe 5" diameter). Here are a couple of suppliers:

Have a look here. Not dutch ovens exactly but small CI cookware which will cope with being parked in a fire.

woo they are nice any idea on the weights of those?

They aren't light, being fairly thick cast iron, so not really for putting in your pack, but for static camping, or hanging under your wagon when you're off on the Voortrek, ideal.

I have to say that the 1/4 size is perhaps a bit too small. It just does nicely for one person, but it can boil over a bit. For a bit more flexibility, I'd be inclined go for the 1/2 size. I did have some piccies of my 1/4 size one in use, but my web server has gone down so I've got to sort out an alternative photo dump.

Thanks for the link. The one we used in Japan was about a quarter the size of the one in the picture.

I guess I will have to dig out the Japanese English dictionary and find out where to get one
