anyone got one of these http://www.bcbin.com/Default.aspx?cid=22 They look the biz from the write up. Underwater @ 60m for 2 weeks !!! That's pretty impressive. Looks like they'd make excellent tinder pouches and a hundred other uses, and they come in different sizes.

These waterproof bags are made with 4 times less stretch but twice the tear and puncture resistance of conventionally produced polyethylene bags. Easy to re-seal they have been tested and certified to a depth of up to 60m(200'), for over two weeks by the U.S. Navy.

Maybe I'm cynical but aren't "Conventionally produced polyethylene bags" what you get your shopping in at Tesco?

dunno but if they can be submerged at 60 metres for 2 weeks then they're going to be good enough for me

I have some of these bags and will be getting more. They are better than Zip-lock bags but limited in size. I use them as main bags. I still use smaller zip-close bags to individually waterproof items.

For a tinder pouch I use one of these http://www.bearclawbushcraft.co.uk/trading/survival.htm (scoll down to the Ultimate Tinder Pouch) as it is breathable which is what you want rather than something which is 'hermetically' sealed.

So long as you dont get it mixed up with your baccy pouch you should be ok there mare LOL

Same here. Especially when you find something and not prepared tip backy into outer pouch and use now empty one!recycling at its best!
