They do look useable but I don't know how well tin would stand up to prolonged use over a fire ??

Do you folks get large veggie or soup tins painted white on the inside? I have often wondered about using them.

Do you folks get large veggie or soup tins painted white on the inside? I have often wondered about using them.

We do - but that white 'paint' is actually a plastic coating that would melt on a fire and do much for the flavour of your food
