This is the Kiwi version of the Volcano/ Kelly kettle. It has a gallery around the chimney exit so you can heat up a saucepan. Has anyone tried one?

Hello and welcome,

Have a look on Song Of The Paddle, a member bought one and was not at all happy with it.

Although much is made of the NZ connection, the kettle was actually made in China (the country, not the material!).

I hope you are happy with whichever brand you choose and use.

I have an old Thermette and like it quite a lot, but I too have heard that the quality of the newer made-in-China models are not up to par.

I recently ordered a couple much larger stainless steel water heaters (a ten-liter and a thirty-liter) from another company in New Zealand. I'll post pics and a review as soon as I receive them.
