Since the bushmoot I have been interested in light weight gear as I can now appreciate its use and applications in bushcraft.
This is my latest knife design (This is the prototype version) I like to use a neck knife but find them quite often to heavy.The total weight of the knife and scabbard is 65g it has been made from 3.7mm 154CM steel stock .The scabbard has a locking system to retain the knife which works via the lanyard .
The total knife length is 6".
The blade length is 2 1/2"
Blade depth is a shade over 1"
The finish on the knife is a carborised finish ,which gives it a forged appearence

I like the idea but would it benefit from a bit of rubber sleeve on the handle to give a better grip in wet conditions. I'd like something similar for when I'm canoeing, I'll see what the mkII looks like
