The snows back !!!!!!!

There is none here now, there was this morning but it has turned to rain. I love the snow, makes me sad when it's gone.

Its all gone now , rained through the night and washed it away .

This morning was the first morning since November 17th that we have no snow or ice around the house and yard ! We had a couple of thaws in the beginning of December and after Christmas, but there was always some snow left which turned into a layer of ice and has made doing the outdoor chores difficult ! Delivery vehicles and the postie have been refusing to come down our track because it has been so slippery. The hens are happy and have started laying again and there is even some lungwort in flower ! but I have just looked at the Met Office website and see that there is more cold weather on its way for us. It is a beautiful day today so I am off out with the chainsaw and axe to cut and split a load of firewood.
