it is in constant flux, changing with every bend in the path...One minute its the Cairngorms, then its a Wiltshire lane, then an Irish village and onto Norfolk.

It wont keep still.

many many times Tengu, maybe 20 or 25 times, i go for the TT and Manx GP racing most years, love the place

i really like your photo of the terrace houses in Peel, sums the place up for me

Lots of interesting walks for different moods.

I kind of fancy the yellow hulled sloop in the marina

Memories come flooding back for me,Tengu, thank you, my mate and I in 1964, decided to leave home, our father's threatened to cut our hair, we were seventeen for God's sake. I left my job as an apprentice slater and tiler and jumped the boat at 1am to the Isle of Man. We slept on the benches on Douglas prom, we wore baseball boots and hid our Chelsea boots in the sand boxes.

At the end of the week, the police arrested us for....yer won't believe this robbing a music band of drums and guitars etc. I asked them where were we hiding the gear? under the benches?

We were shipped out at 5am the next morning, I'm sure they drugged us cos' we don't remember boarding the boat. Arrived home and me Mam gave me half a crown to get my haircut, I dived at it.

Wonder what happened to our Chelsea boots, you're not wearing them are yer?
