*The* Gift-It-On Thread

  • BushMoot: Come along to the amazing Summer Moot 31st July - 5th August (extended Moot : 27th July - 8th August), a festival of bushcrafting and camping in a beautiful woodland PLEASE CLICK HERE for more information.
OK - it’s back with me.

I’ll potter about the shedroom and maybe make something.
I’ll post next week.

Right!

On offer - Choice from Three Separate Gifts.

The first bid received for any particular gift cancels the other two.
(The rejects may well appear later in this thread or be available as a cheap swap.)

  1. A cutlery drainer stick stove.
  • Very stable. The M12 feet weigh much the same as the rest. I can send an additional lighter foot set but the gift is given with the stable elephant feet.
  • The pot bars clip into position or you can be traditional and use a couple of your own metal tent pegs.
  • No fire door unless you make it yourself. Just load fuel from the top.

OR

2. An old but smart Filofax in faux leather. Not mine, came in a job lot. I think I’ve removed all the marked pages and the 1994 calendar. The lifestyle and Ist aid advice is dated. It’s just a smart note book. Doesn’t look used.

OR

3. A fire starter kit.
  • Tin one contains five bush candle fire starters. Can be lit with the ferro when the cotton wool is teased out a bit. They burn for about 8 minutes in lousy conditions.
  • Tin two contains a tatty bit of fatwood but it works (tested), a new unused scraper* and an unused 8mm ferro rod that will need the black lacquer scraped off before it works properly.
*N.B. the scraper implement is gifted as a SCRAPER but will need age verification before I post it.
