In a landmark study, scientists at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands reported that they had conducted an experiment that they say proved one of the most fundamental claims of quantum theory — that objects separated by great distance can instantaneously affect each other’s behavior.

What are the odds the first application is an untraceable connection to movie download sites. :)

I think Sandbender kinda beat me to it but it's called a flame war or trolling yes:D

Very interesting. But generally high level physics makes my head hurt. And makes me feel a bit guilty that anything I do might be making some aliens espresso machine go in the blink. I better just sit still

Sorry Dave that was random even for me, I'll go stand in the corner for a bit :lmao:

Random isn't always a bad thing! Random fact for the day. Best way to clean a stain out of a silk tie is to sandwich it between greeseproof paper with cornflour on the the stain and rest your cuppa on top to warm it up... Sorry but I literally had to share that one I only discovered it yesterday.
Back to the actual topic though I'd love to know how the theory was definitively proven. Seems like any distance we can have on earth is still miniscule in the grand scheme

Nice tip Mick :)
Son2 managed to mark one of his the other day and I've been putting off handwashing it.

Works a treat Mary. Just leave it a few hours and brush the cornflour off. Lifted a pretty obvious oily stain out completely. Now I have my favourite tie to go to my cousins wedding in tomorrow!

Not sure how spooky action would enable long distance travel - but long distance instantaneous communication would be more achievable.
