Don't know if this has been done before but just made a lid for my Tatonka mug.
as you can see its made from the top of a large tin of PEK chopped pork.
I used one of the tin openers that cuts through the side of the tin leaving a rigid lid.
This is then turned upside down and is a tight clip on fit (too tight really)
it is easy enough to slightly open the lip with a pair of pliers to allow a good push fit.
Next job is to drill a few small drain holes for when I'm cooking pasta/rice and also allows a little steam to escape when boiling water, but retaining enough cover not to allow too much heat to escape. I will also add a small D ring to aid lifting on and off.
Please note the bottom of the tin is a little smaller so can't be used.
