Following on from a previous post
I've just finished a cranked Spoon in spalted birch taken from Barn the Spoons book
I will use it for porridge and let you know what it's like

unless you do them sort from a bent crook, the tip will quickly start to split and chip off (been there and done it..)

Mr Dazzler your right however this is slightly negated by the short handle

Having road tested the Spoon at breakfast this very day I can report that it's great for getting round the bowl and needs to be used "end on" and is very "slurpy" (technical term !) probably due to an excessively deep bowl but fun all the same

I like it, Gary! I find that having a variety of spoon designs is nice. You begin to prefer different ones for different eating purposes. Looks like you did a fine job following Barn's instructions too!
