I think that is the snow smock, stained OD. I suspect that it was never issued in that state.

Yep it is - looks just like mine after I dyed it. Good kit though - a dose of waterproofing treatment and you're good to go

i,ve had these before and they are very good for the money,but they are for going over the swedish troops gear so are very large sized.

Indeed - I got an M sized one but it's still pretty substantial. I guess at least I've always got a shelter on me when I'm wearing it though. The pockets go on for ever - I'm still findings things in them from the last time I wore it

Are they any good as a single layer for a tropical area/ rainforest. As I would like to use it in the north of Queensland jungle rain forest area.
