Hello all,

I used to have an m59 pullover shirt, great bit of kit. Long since ‘shrunk in the wash’ but I used to quite like it’s no fuss build and fit.

So, I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a similar style/type of shirt?

Preferably not silly expensive!!

Thanks
Ed

These are OK I have a couple in XL and they work but the wool against my skin sometimes itches so I wear them over my Patagucci UL

so over the weekend, I cut up on of my 2 too small Swedish m59 shirts and used it to make some panels to sew into the sides of the other one to make it a bit bigger. I added about 1.5inch on either side from about a 1/3rd of the way down the arm to the hem.

Having done it I think I am also going to modify the bottom to be square cut.

It’s not my greatest work but meh. I am _not_ any sort of sewing whizz. I just dabble and self-teach.

Pinning it in the opened up the serge’d seams

Sewing it, I just used a straight stitch and cotton thread.

Pressed it flat, this is inside. I finished the edges with a zigzag stitch to stop fraying as I don’t have an overlocker or serger!

And outside.

And this is how it tapered it into the sleeve.

Need to make a small gusset on the bottom hem area of the panels to make it more presentable from the sides, but if fits better now.
