Hi Pete,

There was a Group Buy of tipis and stoves organised over at Song of the Paddle forums late last year:
http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2073

This is probably not the news you would like to hear, but if you PM MagiKelly (he’s a member on BCUK) he can probably put you in touch with online retailers of suitable stoves for the tipi.

And here is the URL to the BCUK ‘heads up’ thread about the tipi and stove Group Buy over at SotP. It too might yield some useful information:

Hope this helps.

Best regards and good hunting :) ,
Paul.

an alternative to a wood stove and this would also be safer esp for those with a nylon tipi like me would be a yacht heater Heatpal 5100

They are glorified trianga burners (meths) but really huge, you can buy the burner alone for £25 and place it in a fire box of somekind so you could cook off the top, but the whole ehater and case is around £100.

Hi Pete, have the tundra 4 (the polycotton one). I used one of the tentipi large fireboxes in it last week, and it was fine. Even with the wood being a bit wet (a tad smokey), non of the sparks that spat out came near the fabric of the tipi. They do heat the tipi up a treat and are easy to cook on. Only draw back over an enclosed wood burner is that i would'nt fancy leaving it burning over night (am working on a lid so that it can be closed down safly at night but still retain some heat).
