Hi folks - just thought I'd share a few pics from a bivvy trip last weekend. It was -2C most of the night, although it briefly touched -5C. Location = North East Wales.

It is indeed the 3x3 USMC in CE camo! Well spotted.

It is rigged over a 4mm climbing accessory cord ridgeline with the ends tied long enough to pull back and attach to the tarp loops to tension it lengthways. It is pegged out with sharpened sticks directly through the bottom loops.

I only had one kid with me - Ciaran, who's 11. Jamie is a fellow member from this forum. Jamie and I have made a new year's pledge to camp out once a month, preferably with an interesting twist (eg sub zero), every month this year. (anyone care to join in the challenge?)

Cheers!

Dom.

Looks like fun Dom

You should start a blog for the rest of the years trips. We can all throw in suggestions for that "twist" :D
