Having read everything i can about the above knife, weighed up the pro's and con's, toyed with every possible alternative i've decided on a 9" model, but having searched about the possibility of the deluxe model has reared it's head, but i can't find anywhere UK based to buy one, it's on the stromeng site and on this site http://www.solbris.no/enter.html?lang=no&target=d126.html&lmd=39190.577546 but unfortunatly my norwegians rubbish and theres no english translation :(
If anybodys got any idea's on where i can get hold of one or can tell me if this company will send me one (i'm sure they would) i would be most gratefull :)
Thanks all

Well recieved an email from colin the otherday, he can get hold of one for me, trouble is it may take a few month's :( as they are hand made to order!
If this is the case i may wait till i head over to Oslo and do some shopping around and see what i can find.
Not sure about this though as i'd like a chance to practice with it before i head into the stick's?!
May even be tempted to order the blade and get someone to put a nice handle on it for me, anybody on here done anything similar? and what about the sheath?
Rather fancy snakewood!!!!
So many choices

Rapidboy, i think thats the way to go, can buy the blade from www.attacc.co.uk for £15 and http://www.brisa.fi/start3.html seem to cover the rest. Anybody know of a good book that run's through the many and varied ways of putting knives together? does not being full tang make thing's more tricky?
I don't intend to buy another knife anytime soon (well maybe one for round the neck, and possibly another small folder or else a .........) so i'd prefer to get this one spot on :) .
KAE1 thanks for your help aswell, thats not a bad price with the dollar as weak as it is, knives look much better with a nice handle even if they don't go any better :D

They sure are expensive compared to std models like the helle and stromeng, although they use the stromeng blade's and similar sheath's. Think thats why i feel like going down the build it myself road.
Colin quoted £55 plus postage for the delux version, think this may have been a mistake as it's the same price as the std, as for the Helle version thay are a remarkable price for the amount of knife you get.
Only problem i can foresee is getting the right size block for the handle, it's either small bit's for full tang blades or massive lumps too build one piece carved tables from the states (postage?) :D But i'll keep searching, saying that the plum tree outside the house has been giving me hayfever every spring for the past 5 years :bluThinki
