Morch, Scout, Johnny and I headed out for a wee overnighter at St Ninian's Cave which is near the Isle of Whithorn. The night was mild, no midges and lovely and peaceful with just the occasional cry of a seagull or coo of a woodpidgeon.
We camped near the beach on the side of a steep hill, we needed oxygen by the time we made it up to base camp!
Scout impressed us again with his culinary skills as he made improvised pizza (but we won't mention the missing ingredient....tomato sauce)
Four go beach combing, we did find a bottle of tomato sauce on the beach - alas too late the pizza already munched!
Beach art - those stones look easy to balance, but trust me they are not!
Morch and Johnny discuss alterations to the Bat Cave
Nathan and Johnny watch the sun go down
Basecamp
My hammock and tarp (thanks again Sandbag for that great group buy)
The smell of woodsmoke
Pizza preparations under way
The smell of food
The company as always was great and we whiled away the small hours chatting and relaxing before turning in to our hammocks. Here's to our next trip lads.
