Some of mine are budding hard. I really hope they don't flower, I'll lose a whole years crop

Where I am the Toothwort/Milk Maids (Cardamine californica) are blooming. Robins and Great Blue Heron have appeared. These are the earliest indicators that Spring is on its way.

You people got off easily! I get maybe 2-3 more months with no mud and no bugs.
Ravens don't talk in the winter. I predict that they will chatter up a storm in about 10-14 days from now.
Anyway, thanks for the pictures of the flowers.

Our really big spring melt up top doesn't get roaring until June. You can listen to the the basket-ball
sized rocks being rolled along the river bottoms = thunder on a sunny day!

One of the hedges in the village has a flowering Primrose.I found a dead Frog in the woods surrounded by spawn too.

Elder tree is well in leaf, one of the plum trees has all the buds opening.

Saw the snowdrops up the other day but was still shovelling seven inches of snow off the scaffolding today.
