Brumstar123 and I are out on a cheeky one nighter and cooked up a chicken glazed with honey, made a Hazel spit and split the spit itself and then fed the chook on and speared a skewer through passing through the split, we then whipped the split with paracord and placed it on two v sticks, to stop it spinning round we cut a square notch on the spit at the point it sat on the v, worked a treat! used a ray mears trick and made a basting brush with a cheecky bit of whittling (check out YouTube for his boar basting) basted it in honey for a couple of hours and it was magic, can highly recommend, next stop pig!!!!
