Hello all
I am looking into getting a lightweight 2 man tent to go cycling with.
Currently Vango Banshee 300 is looking nice. This should do most british weather and is pretty darn light. Any other suggestions? If i can support a little UK business on the way i would be most happy so please mention any little compaines you may know of
Cheers

FWIW
I've been a fan of tunnel type tents for the past ten years or so
My latest purchase is the Coleman Pictor X2, its a fantastic tent for the money ,
Three sets of colour coded poles , blunt on one end and a tapered lug on the other , the blunt end slides into the sleeve and when you feed it right in it locates into a webbing pocket so no need to go to the other side to clip it in
Adjustable vents .. I've had no problems with condensation
Mesh stash pockets so you can see whats in them
Good quality pegs that don't bend .
Comes with a pole repair kit , spare poles and a tent repair kit
Porch area with detachable ground sheet that I can sit up in and cook if necessary
It might be a bit heavy for you tho @ 3.3 kg? I'm a kayaker so weight isn't really an issue for me
I've used it on several trips this year with no complaints , in fact i have nothing but praise for it
Is it for two people or do you just want a bit of room for one ?
Pictured below an Exped 9 DLX and a thermarest prolite plus side by side
Porch area .
Because of our glorious weather
you may have to spend extended periods in your tent so head room is pretty essential. I'm 6 foot and have no problems sitting up right in the Coleman
Messy camp
Previously I had a Vango tempest 200 , one of the poles snapped the 2nd time I put it up, Vango customer service is appalling , I eventually manged to get replacement poles from them but these were generic ones not colour coded like the originals
I couldn't sit upright in the Vango either and another problem i found was condensation, the last time i used it was on a 10 day 250 mile kayak trip which resulted in me buying the Coleman
