Hey, you lucky lucky folks. Just think, in total there are nearly 20,000 posts full of useful information and unique insight into the important things in life. You won't find any useless posts full of jibber jabber there, and no doubt some of them will find their way into space aboard pioneering craft so that alien life can see exactly what the pinnacle of human forum posting can achieve.

Anyway. Enough of that. This competition will be twofold. The first will be mine, which requires no skill at all to win. All you have to do is get closest to the serial number on my splendid new shotgun...

It's six digits long.

Please copy and paste your guesses in numerical order, as I'm lazy and don't want to do it.

Next up is Southey's comp based upon skill.

Hopefully he will also give a small speech as to how great we've been, and how you all will be looking forward to our next 20,000 posts. Hurrah.

I would ask that you create for me a piece of art from wood, a triumph of form and function, something worthy of my gaze,

Jon and I shall be the judges, the closing date is the 1st of December, then we shall judge YOU ALL and I shall send my prize to the winner,

Can we test the butter knives for spreadability factor. I love spreading butter, it's one of my favourite things.

YEAH! if you want extra points you could either upload a vid of you spreading some butter, OR send them in to
