Some Vicious choppers!

Took a picture today (on a phone from a distance, sorry for the poor quality). It occurred to me whilst looking at the picture just how "effective" the teeth are on this animal

Care to guess the creature?

Nice one. I've only ever seen one live above ground once...almost a lifetime ago ! Interestingly, with my farmer friend we once discovered a weasel dead underground in one of his traps..

I've seen them above ground, but they are oddly helpless (being almost blind cant help). Usually see them when they have crossed a road and then run into foundations of a large wall or similar.

I help out as an informal "mole man" for the neighbours and I've never known so many. One paddock I have taken dozens out of (literally).

I have a vague memory of a children's TV programme many many years ago when the mole catcher (in Yorkshire) was known as the "mole-de-warp"....flat cap and all !
