Hi,

I'm new to the world of bush craft and am trying to put together a basic set of kit for using across the autumn and winter. I have a budget of £200 for sleeping bag, bivi, mat and rucksack! So far I have got a Dutch Army Hooped Bivi and now looking for a suitable bag. The Snugpak travelpak 4 looks very good value but as a new product I can't find any reviews. Has anyone any experience of this bag?

thanks

Tom

I think its a good choice, looks similar to the sleeper extreme which I started off in. Then again the sleeper extreme uses isofiber. No experience of travelsoft insulation?

It might be an idea to try and buy a second hand sleeping bag off someone here. I hear the softies last decades so dont worry about much loss in performance. Ive always put my sleeping bag at the top of my importance list.

Anyway good luck with it all!
