Snugpak Special Forces Bivvi Bag?

Are these paratex bivvi´s any good? Breathable and can resist some rain if necessary?
(I´m not looking for surplus 3 layer goretex bivvibags) Please share your experiences.

Have been looking at these myself. Have just spoken to one of my mates who is still in the army and he says all the lads are getting them. He recons they are equal in performance to the issue bivvi, but they pack down to at least half the size! Winner!

He did say to make sure you get the SF bag as it allows him to get in it with his webbing etc on. And if your a fairly big chap like myself the other version would drive you mad!!

Yep, that helps Gabe! The zipper modell is a must, when getting out in the night from the sleeping bag and bivvi bag, to take a pee.
Anyone else that has something to add in this subject?
