Having acquired a smokey hut earlier this year, I'm now looking at getting a half inner for it. I don't want the one tigris one as it is all mesh, and I'm looking more for something that is at least half solid walls, basically to lessen the draught my delicate soul feels when sleeping on the ground. I just seem to need that little extra protection.
I have a small stove, so don't want a full inner.
What do other smokey hut owners use and recommend? Thanks.

I have a funny feeling, I understand all words but have really no idea what she is talking about.
When I have no idea what someone is talking about, I keep quiet and don't make snippy remarks to try to belittle them publicly .
Had you addressed me rather than everyone except me, and asked me to explain better for you to understand, I would have done so with pleasure
Have a nice weekend.

I was actually hoping for some explanation but apparently not. Have it your way.
So far having a nice WE.

Main problem for me being what on earth is "smokey hut" other than smokey hut. Followed by "half inner for it. I don't want the one tigris one as it is all mesh". Mystified by: "draught my delicate soul feels when sleeping on the ground", how does that connect with smoke in the hut.

By the way this business of answering by editing does make things slightly awkward.

Luxe tents do some winter inners that the lower 1/3 or 1/2 is solid rather than mesh, for example the V4a or V6a inners. Valley & Peak took over the UK dealership when Back packing light UK closed. I haven't looked at the dimensions compared to the Smokey.

I don't have practical experience of Luxe tents but considered them for winter family camping for some time. Still tempted.

I am not a hundred percent sure, but something like this should fit: Inner Tent, the four season single option sounds like what you are looking for.
Thank you, a good option and price. There are many options out there, and I was wondering what people had actualy used and found a good fit. I will bear this in mind though.
The one problem with these options is they are an oblong inner in a round tent which means wasted space behind it which you can't access for storage of say a backpack. Was wondering if there was an option that utilised that space..ie a semi circular one.
Other than that it looks a great option. Thanks again.

That's a better option and more what I'm looking for, brilliant, thanks. I'll take a better look later, I'm on my way out to a book festival, and just realised im running late!

Well, the inner has arrived, but the smokey hut pegs have done a runner! Frustrating. They were definatly in the pole bag last time I used the hut. I'm confused, as the new extras I bought and put into the bag seperatly are gone too.

They are all packed away neatly and safely together so that you’ll find them next time you need them. How many times have I done THAT!

You are probably remembering the penultimate time you packed which followed your previous routine.

I don't think I am, as I had green ones, I bought two packs of red ones to be extras, in case I wanted to add a tarp to the set up. I remember putting them all into the pole bag, along with extra guys. The guys are there.. tho not in the bag where i put them. Pegs are non existent. New or old. I havnt had the thing out since I did that, two months ago. Very odd, and it's doing my head in!!!!!!!
And I have checked the tarp bag too. :(

I have a couple of small 'Mids, and a stove jack but I've always meant to modify one of them with a short wall before using a stove in either. Stoves take up so much room that 4P 'Mid becomes a solo tent for my big bod and white season gear. Adding a short wall adds so much extra usable space for very little extra weight.
