Hi Rod, salt arrived today and very tastey it is too !!
( the envelope had been opened and re-sealed by RM then put into a plastic bag with an apology for the condition of the parcel when it was delivered )
Mine arrived in the same condition....

That might be it - although I sent some recorded delivery with a payment for something off the sales forum & it got through no problem... potentially a tip for any one wanting to go into postal dealing 
And guess what arrived today....
The envelope hasn't been opened though. My guess is that it was no more sinister than the RM making sure it got here in one piece.
