Has anyone used companies who will make small quantities at a reasonable price ?

If it's patches or labels you are sourcing, and if you really don't need many, then find someone with an embroidery sewing machine and have them do a few trial pieces.

If you need more than that, think about folks like Cash's, because they weave labels, nametapes and the like and they're both very good, and very reasonably priced.

Digital embroidery sewing machines have made the price plummet here.
Especially if all you want is a single color. They scan your artwork and the machine does the rest.
Multicolor and the price rises fast as you might expect.

That's a tad excessive….what size are you looking for ? and how many colours?

I don't have a machine that does this kind of thing, but I do know someone who did do it, and her rate was based on a set up charge and then it was just a plug and play thereafter for a fixed price per badge.

Computerization has widened the whole field and dropped the prices considerably.

Multi colour is not really an issue now, either.

Ebay might be your friend on this too.
