Ok so i know you lot don't really use this sort of thing, but it was fun to make so have a look.

Here is a small damascus necker that is currently works in progress.

Blade made from 125 layers of 1084 and 15N20 steels is a 60/40 ratio.

Overall length is 4.5 inches.

This one is finished with stabilized curlybirch scales a small brass pin and a 4 mm brass lanyard hole. I am going to make a leather sheath for this one to but have to decide whether i dare try a scandi style og go safe with a pouch... only problem is the pouch would likely be in rawhide leather and i am not sure if that would go.

thanks for your time..

The pic is taken with a mobile phone hence it being blurry, naturally those of you who can fix this please feel free to do so.

Where's the blade from Dave?

You make it yourself?

No the blade is not made by me although i could be about to change that all being well.

The blade is from Idaho and is made by a man called levitt.

Nice guy, answered all the questions i had and the blade arrived within 3 days. The man may not be known ( i found him by accident and only have a mail address for him) but the blade is well made and finisged and the steel mix is as i understand THE mix for damascus. I blade file tested to 57 is hard enough for most things i suggest. Course i am bound to be proved wrong;)

Its a beauty. All around beauty. I love a utility blade like that. Perfect everyday carry.
