Some of you got a taste of Balearic sling competition at the Bushmoot recently. This is a video I took at the first international competition in 2011 in Mallorca:

Here is Diego Camuñas processing raw sisal fibre and braiding a sling directly from it. He also makes one from the rougher esparto grass.

This is a practice session in Soller, Mallorca in 2011. You can hear the difference between the metal of the target centre and the plywood of the surrounding square.
