As per the title, does anyone have any recommendations, based on experience, of good campsites, wild or commercial, and B&Bs on Skye and Mull. We’re doing a quick dash to both on the bikes and don’t really have time to “shop” around.

Many thanks for any advice you can offer,

Andy

Glenbrittle on Skye is nice and a bit less of a midgefest then Slighachan in summer.

Common wild camping at the head of Loch Na Keal on Mull just off the B8073 and there's a good chance of some really close Sea Eagle views there and otter. I've had them on the beach there regularly sitting quite the thing. There's also a great bothy if you follow the Glen Forsa track which is bikeable. Again, great views of Golden Eagle and Sea Eagle. Took a group up there in April and watched three white tails attacking a Golden Eagle lest than 100ft above us.

Saucy Mary's in Kyleakin, for good banter and an easy introduction to the island of Sky. Any beach at Elgol is good for wild camping.

If you're hammocking you'd maybe be better in Sleat on Skye. There is more trees there.
