Hi All, my interest has been piqued to try and grow some skirret - Sium sisarum. It’s a medieval vegetable in the parsnip family, which produces long, slim white roots. These roots are evidently quite sweet and can be eaten raw or cooked. The small white flowers are apparently sweetly scented too, and once established it is very hardy. So it sounds like an interesting thing to try, much in the same vein as oca.
If anyone has any seed they could spare I’d be happy to pay postage…..
Cheers, Bob
